often be seen directly from above--we see the light that is headed up toward the sky. The scene above shows the lights of Boone, NC as of about 1995. It was taken from Howard's Knob. Compare that to the image of Boone below, taken 35 years ago by then ASU photographer John Dinkins from the fire tower on Rich Mountain. The need for codes is obvious!
